On November 29th, 2024, the plan was to go out that night with friends, but Wade called Lisa and asked her if they could stay at home that night for supper instead. Just to two of them dined and then the ritual of sitting by the fire in the living room for a drink and a visit. Wade asked Lisa to mix him a drink and she obliged with a whiskey coke press for each of them (her favorite). When she got back to the couch, a box was waiting and some "unexpected dust" entered the room and directly into Wade's eyes, as he offered commitment to Lisa forever. She said yes and close friends came over to celebrate!

This 1953 Mercury M600 fire truck was manufactured by Marsh Fire Equipment in Saskatoon, SK and was sold to Asquith, SK fire department. This fire truck has the original logs still inside the glove box and was in service until 1997! Wade and Lisa decorated this beauty and drove in the Wainwright Santa Claus Parade in 2024; it was a spectacle. Wade loves this fire truck as much as Lisa, so it naturally became included in engagement photos.
